The property was in a great location, within the Capitol Hill area. Shops and the metro are a short walk away. The main tourist attractions in Washington are very close by. The property was quiet and self-contained. The size suited our family and the air conditioning was effective, which we were very grateful for as the weather was very hot and humid. The video explaining how to locate and get into the property when we arrived was very helpful, and communication with the owner was excellent. We were able to arrange on-street parking outside with the help of the owner. It was very useful to have a washing machine and dryer, and the fridge/ freezer was the biggest we’ve ever seen!

Some of the decor wasn’t to our taste, but that’s a personal preference for light colours as opposed to the dark ones in some of the rooms. We also hadn’t realised that two of the bedrooms are in the basement, but to be fair, there’s not much the owner could do to change that!

Great video which showed how to enter the yard, go through the gate, and get to the unit and lockbox. The unit was three stories. Lower level - 2 bedrooms + bath, Main level - living room. Upper level - Kitchen, dining table, bedroom +bath. Keurig coffee maker with many pods + tea and creamer. The apt. was a couple of blocks from the Metro, Trader Joe's, and many restaurants/bars. GREAT HOST. Very easy to communicate with and rapid reply.

Three levels was sort of uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.

La chaudiére est bruyante au sous sol prés des deux chambres . Dommage que les poubelles soient stockées juste devant la maison.
