The cleanliness and location. Decent room. The good communication between the owner, his assistant Clarizza and ourselves. They were extremely good with answering any queries we had including resolving being locked out of our room due to a key fob malfunction.

The security at reception. They requested I hand over my passport to keep rather than take a photo of it. As a traveler this is a definite no-no and something you do not want to lose. Eventually, I suggested they take my drivers license which they accepted. When Clarizza arrived they told her “Good luck” and laughed as if we were being difficult. Not particularly professional or respectful. The reception didn’t want to arrange a taxi for us. This is supposed to be a high end accommodation. Everywhere else we stayed in the Philippines kindly did this for us. It’s a shame because the owner and his assistant were very helpful.

The only thing I liked was the location

The check-in process was unclear. The security and receptionist repeatedly asked for a guest form that had not been properly explained before arrival, and after a long discussion it was suddenly no longer required. Our physical ID was also kept at reception instead of simply being checked or copied, which had not been communicated in advance. The reception was not always attended, so the handling of personal documents felt concerning. After checkout, the host claimed towels were stained and demanded P500 per towel by call without providing a receipt, product link, or proof of the actual replacement cost. She repeatedly called and messaged outside Booking.com, which felt excessive and uncomfortable. The towel photos also seemed inconsistent, with later photos looking worse than the first ones sent. Overall, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to guests who expect clear communication and professional service.
