Shepherd's Cottage Koumaritsi

Excellent hospitality from the owners. We have never experienced so far such a warm welcoming! The house is very cozy. It is located in a nice and calm village. The house is fully packed with any amenities one can imagine. We were a group of 4 people and it was a great stay for all of us.

As noted by others, the bathroom gets heated from the living room and does not have a heat source of its own, but that was not a problem for us. If you leave the bathroom door open, the heat from the living room spreads inside, but it needs some time. Also, be aware that if you plan to go to Pavliani during wet season, the road from Koumaritsi to Pavliani cannot be crossed without a 4x4 off-road vehicle, due to some slippery mud spots that are located along the road where a typical vehicle can easily get stuck. The alternative is to go around, which is a 1 hour trip. This does not have to do with the accommodation per se, but it is just a tip.
