Urbanstay Sokcho Beach AB

Good sized apartment, comfy bed, outside space (balcony), loads of storage, good shower, free parking, convenient location close to restaurants/convenience stores and right at the beach.

Our only issue was that we had to climb over the bed to turn on/off lights (wall mounted controller) and heating/cooling system was too complicated.

This property is very close to the bus station, beach, restaurants, and the sokcho eye. It has a full kitchen in a very small space. The bed was comfortable but very small. This space was organized. You could walk to catch the 7 bus to go to Seoraksan park easily. Location is the best part of this property.

The check in process is very difficult for non korean speakers. We had issues with finding the hotel. The property rents rooms under like 6 different names. It is really unclear which building you go to. When you finally find what is the right building, a different hotel name is listed in the lobby of building B. Since the hotel is so close to the bus station, a taxi would not take us there when we first arrived. So, even though it was within walking distance, we were wandering around with bags trying to find the hotel. It is keyless, remote checkin so there is not anyone at a desk anywhere. We got delayed from our original check in time. When we finally got to our room, the door had been remotely opened for some time. Korea is pretty safe, but I did not like the idea of staying in a room that had been unlocked for 24 hours before we came. We just left when it was checkout time. I never got any kind of notice at all about check out. This process is probably fine for Korean speaking guests, but was difficult for me.

It was right by Sokcho beach and access to soo many amenities nearby

It was busy, because there are soo many businesses in the same building.

I like the location

The bedsheet wasn’t clean . It was used by somebody and we just adjusted on that . It’s too nasty.
