High Wycombe Centre- 2 bed flat

Not much to say regarding what I liked.

I wasn't about to give any feedback, but you keep asking, so here it goes. The property is next to a busy road, so at night you could hear lorries, cars and vans which are delivering goods to the shopping centre nearby, along with the usual traffic expected of a busy road. Moreover, the next door neighbour had their TV on, and had their volume turned up to the max until way past midnight, I went to speak to them, a lady in her early 20s, appeared to be international student from South Asia, answered and said she would get her housemates to turn down the volume, but they didn't. The inside of the property itself is dated, you can see the owner has tried to make it look good, but a lot more could be done for the price they charge, e.g., some of the kitchen units and cupboards have hinges falling apart and the shower could do with more power and updating. I am not fuss about how they want to present the property but main issue is the noise, both from the road and neighbour. They also advertise that the car park is for your exclusive use, but workers from the shop downstairs also park their cars there and it blocks the drive way.

There was a major flood in the kitchen which completely spoiled our final evening. We attempted to limit the leak while waiting for an emergency plumber, and cleaned up afterwards. We have had no apology form the owner, and no offer of reimbursement either. Very disappointing. In my opinion the stated "parking for 2 cars" description is misleading. Our VW could not access the confined space due to the narrowness of the passageway from one direction. and inadequate ground clearance on the other.

We've used this Airbnb twice. The location is great for where we had to travel to. The area is quiet. The flat is spacious, and there are 2 toilets, which is good for a family of 6. The flat is fairly tidy. The price is good. It's convenient for cooking. There was a little box with washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, sponge for the dishes, clothes washing capsules. There were sufficient towels, although we didn't need to use many as we brought our own. It was easy for us to find the place from the description given.

I want to point out that we could see that owners are trying with their business, but there are things to improve. There needs to be more attention to detail: the entrance needs to be more inviting (cigarette butt and weeds to be removed); not enough coffee whitener; a bin was in the main bathroom, but one also needed in the lower toilet; in the bathroom, there was water in both the shampoo and body soap bottles (these shouldn't be on display on the bath if there wasn't any soap in them), my daughter found another soap bottle that was almost empty, but we had already found our own alternative; the bathroom needs better cleaning as it has black, pink and brown around most of the perimeter of the bath; tissue holder handles not sturdy. These are the main things.

This house is great. Parking is very tricky if you are driving. It's a narrow space. The house is across from the tube so you could stay here without a car. There are lots of shops very close by with some excellent eateries. There is also a movie theater not far. Great location for going to several different places and coming back each night.

Pretty sure we got a parking ticket for literal driving through the parking lot diagonal to the flat while we were rearrange cars. Don't pause for even a second in any lots, don't even pull in.

The location was great. Close to shopping centres and the train station.

It’s not disclosed that the apartment is on 3 levels with very steep narrow stairs to the 3rd floor room and bathroom. Even though it’s a smoke free property, the bedrooms stank of cigarette smoke. We were advised that there was 2 parking spaces available, not true. The proprietor of an adjacent business thinks it’s ok the use one and block the tenants/renters in.

We were taking our grandson to London for the weekend and wanted somewhere to stay, that was a shortish train ride in. The location, about 5 minutes walk from the station, was perfect. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was a great place to base ourselves for a weekend sightseeing in London.
