We needed an apartment in Papeete, and Charmante Topaz gave us the space to do washing, cooking and relaxing. Fans allowed us to have open windows rather than use air conditioning. There was a wonderful coffee shop next door where we ate breakfast every morning.
The apartment was not as centrally located as we hoped. It was a 10 - 15 walk to restaurants, and the places we wanted to visit, often along roads that had no footpaths. However, the traffic was easy to negotiate and drivers courteous.
