The outside is the only thing we have enjoyed during our stay.
Honestly, the cleanliseness was not ok. Also, the kitchen furniture is made out of metal material , rusty on the inside and quite dirty on the places where you pick and pull the draws for example (the most touched parts of the kitchen), they were greasy and dirty (at least to my taste), not to mention the extractor top above the stove. For the cleanliness, for the rest was ok, the fridge, the bedroom and bathroom were clean.
Another thing that was dissapointing was the smell, it hit us hard when we entered the proprierty. It smelled of old houses and mold... heavily, very heavily, we let all day all windows and door open but is was still not getting away.
Unfortunatelly the majority of the tableware to use were in the washing machine, which I did not check right upon arrival as I expected the kitchen to already have the plates, the bowls and coffee cups in place. I discovered that only at the end of the next day... I would have expected everything to be in the rigth place already, this made the experience pooorer. It just felt like the place was taken care of, but not really much attention givne to the kitchen...
Overmore, after I made the booking, I received a loooong message from the host on Booking about how to get there, and how to bring our own towels, how we had to vacuum the place when leaving, which foods we can not cook inside, to bring even our own matches and wood fire for the chimney (which we ended up not using), how to not use the heating in the bathroom because it costs a lot for the heating bill (we payd for this!!!), how the sink water in the bathroom has not hot water, it was really not a very welcoming message but as we payd, we said to give it a chance... Although the location outside is top and it is a dog friendly location, I would not repeat the experience.

De rust en ruimtelijk
Viel niet tegen maar er kwamen er daar achter dat er geen tv was. In de koudere dagen, lange avonden kan dat voor sommige misschien een tegenvaller zijn. Wij hebben heerlijk spelletjes gespeeld. Die waren daar een een paar aanwezig maar we hadden zelf van alles bij.
Wij hebben genoten van de rust en de natuur! En we hadden het geluk dat er net deel-fietsen waren geplaatst in Meerhout waar we gretig gebruik van hebben gemaakt.
Er was weinig kledingkast-ruimte.

Het is een prachtige rustige locatie. Het huisje staat bij een eigen grote vijver en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er zijn veel wandelmogelijkheden.
De heerlijke rustige ligging. De eigenaren dachten mee.
We misten goede messen (koksmes, broodmes) en een lange spiegel.

Rustig in de natuur
De natuurrijke, ontspannen locatie met enorme vijver. Echt een ' eigen eilandje gevoel'. Mooi dat het huisje zoveel ramen heeft, waardoor je ook vanuit binnen het gevoel hebt van middenin de natuur te zitten.
Geen groot probleem, maar een waterkoker was praktisch geweest. Was overigens goed op te lossen met een pan.

Rustige omgeving, goeie voorzieningen. Moeilijk om er te geraken en parkeren.
De airco kan ook verwarmen. Alles om te koken is aanwezig. Er is een ijskast. Elektriciteit en water dik in orde. Goed bed om in te slapen. Rustige omgeving. Net voldoende wifi om het nieuws en VTM te streamen (+/- 1,5 Mbps).
We zijn hopeloos verloren gereden in de bossen. Pas daar geraakt toen we naar de locatie geleid werden na telefonisch contact met de eigenaar. Een plannetje over hoe er te geraken is een sterke aanrader. Hoewel we alles potdicht hadden, bleven er van ergens vliegen binnenkomen. We hebben ook een wants in de keuken gezien.
