The Gables - Circa 1880 - Classic Bowral Property

This is a lovely, quirky, comfortable house on a quiet, beautiful street, conveniently located for exploring Bowral and beyond. The hosts were generous with supplies of tea and coffee, firewood, toilet paper etc and the house was full of thoughtful touches. The beds were comfy and although the kitchen doesn't have a stove, the little plug-in hotplate worked very well (look for it in the cupboard below the microwave). There's plenty of parking. The bathroom had two separate sets of sinks, towel rails, bath mats, and hooks - very useful if you're travelling with a friend. The shower was lovely! Highly recommended for a stay in Bowral.

Great location, very quiet and serene. Very spacious and easy to drive or walk into town.

Much bigger than we thought. Nicely put together and styled in a quirky but tasteful design. Super comfortable beds. Lots of little details thought through. We would loved to stay longer.

Location ok

Lack of off street parking was a concern,and not acceptable I know it is a heritage establishment, but not to have Television was stretching it a bit. We also found that the toilet facilities were too far from the bedrooms as we are in our eighties. And to call the bed on the unlined verandah a bedroom was again not up to standard Some of the room heaters we’re not working and there was dust on the shelf in the second bedroom
