Essence of the Ocean 2nd Floor Oceanview Room

The inn property as a whole was nice, but a bit rundown/outdated. The proximity to the beach/ocean and the two pools kept my 7 year old entertained. I’ve stayed on Pawley’s island before, but usually in a rented single home vs an inn/hotel property and love the businesses and beaches.

The unit we stayed in had a hole in the wall where it looked like the wall mount for the tv was previously hung and the vinyl flooring was peeling up in places and didn’t seem to have the correct underlayment so it sunk when walked on. A section by the window was replaced with what looked like just plain plywood. The furniture and bathroom vanity had a landlord special chipped paint job and all the caulking and baseboards were stained in the bathroom. It sufficed for the purpose of easy access to the beach, but was not the greatest condition. Would definitely stay at the inn again for the property location and amenities, but not in the same unit.
