Rangiroa Bliss

Cuisine demi pension, petits déjeuners, repas de très bonne qualité. Calme du site sur la mer.

La pension est très très éloignée du village ( la plus éloignée de Rangiroa) des centre de plongée et des locations de vélos ce qui nécessite des navettes en barque aluminium inconfortable. Pas d'autre moyen de déplacement. Temps de navigation entre 35 et 50 minutes. Il faut préciser que ces navettes de 4 places sont payantes ( hors AR aéroport )( bateau de la pension) et organisées en fonction des A/R des autres pensionnaires ce qui rends les déplacements difficiles à organiser. On est donc dépendant de cette barque aluminium....et des son marin au caractère acariâtre. L'accueil est fait par une hôtesse de"caractère" bien trempé qui n'est pas de d'une douceur exemplaire...c'est vrai elle est bonne cuisinière. Soyez patients. Bref soyez prévenus.....soyez patients, diplomates ou ne pratiquez pas la plongée sous-marine.

Location was amazing -- if you're looking to be very remote and in a beautiful location this is the spot for you! We were in the "delux bungalow" and loved having the little deck to read, hang, and watch sunset on. We only utiized the "kitchenette" to cut up some bread and cheese, and appreciated having a fridge to store snacks in. All of Ilona's meals were fantastic; we ate SO well the 4 days we were there. So many great fish dishes and fresh fruit/veggies almost every day. We loved hearing her stories about living on an atoll and her experiences fishing/spearfishing and camping on the motus! We didn't get a chance to take kayaks out but enjoyed doing a bit of snorkeling around the coral heads right off the beach. The hosts also recommended tour services that would pick up at the property (which we booked prior to arrival) and we were able to get to town to do a dive. However if you want to walk around town and do multiple tours this is not the ideal location for that, as it takes a while and is $$$ to get to/from the main towns. There were pretty bad weather conditions and limited boat service when we were leaving, and the Ilona went out of her way to make sure we were able to get to our flight on time :-)

Small communication issue when we first arrived - didn't get a chance to stop at a store on the way as had been communicated prior; in the future I would verify this when getting on the boat -- this could have been solved easily with the boat captain if i spoke french! However the host was very kind and helped us acquire a few snack items the following day.

Bonne nourriture, Patates de corail a proximité,

Pas d'eau chaude, plage de cailloux (morceaux de corail), transferts en petit bateau (dur pour le dos avec la houle), beaucoup de mouches, aucun magasin a proximité, 3.000 cpf par pers par transfert (magasin ou club de plongée de Tiputa)
