About this cottage rental
Waveys cottage - Located in Northern Newfoundland just 7 kms from L'Anse aux Meadows UNESCO World Heritage Viking Site, this Yellow painted Cottage is a lovely 100 year old traditional Newfoundland box style house that has been restored by E. Annie Proulx,it is situated at the ocean front. It has 2 bed rooms, one bathroom,kitchen/dining/living area, patio doors and patio facing the ocean. Very Cozy and Funtional. Good for 4 people or less! Next door to the Atlantic Ocean where you can see icebergs floating by whales, seals, sea birds, sunrise , moonlight on the ocean . Have a beach fire, beach comb of sea glass , explore the Rocky seashore. People have told us they have seem also seen moose, foxes, minks , rabbits on this property. 12 acres of land with the three historic vacation rentals and an abundance of raspberries in the late summer!

Perfect location right on a bay. Beautiful views from the windows. The small beach is shared with two other homes rented by the same owner. The home was quaint and lovely, with plenty of room downstairs for two-four to spread out. It is an old home, which added to the charm. Ceilings upstairs are low; someone 6’4” has to duck to walk around upstairs, which is also where the bathroom is located. The driveway is steep, but our very low car was fine in summer. Easy parking and leaving right at the house. We loved that we were right in the middle of a whole bunch of destinations, most being under a 20min drive. At the same time, it was quiet and on the water! A win, win.
