Sonrise Cottage is rural but centrally located and well suited for getaways with loved ones as well as business travelers, remote workers, and longer stays. Hicksville, OH is 10 minutes away and offers a variety of dining options, gas stations, local shops, and basic grocery stores. For even more options, larger towns and cities—including Fort Wayne, IN—are only 30 to 45 minutes away, featuring shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment venues. There are State Parks and lakes within driving distance as well, so you can gear up and do some outdoor exploration!
We’ve lovingly designed this cottage to offer you a relaxing, memorable stay. From cozy beds to thoughtful amenities, every detail is meant to help you feel right at home. We've added special touches throughout to make your visit feel truly cared for. Past guests have described the cottage as peaceful, spotless, well-stocked, perfectly located—and even their favorite VRBO stay!
Please Note:
1. There's a security camera overlooking the drive that actively records video and audio.
2. There are a few steps leading into the house as well as front porch.
3. Being in the country, the water is well water and can have a slight smell and taste to it. The cottage has a special water faucet just for drinking.

We had a great time staying here! The host communicates very well and very quickly with questions. The house is super cozy and perfect for a vacation and the Christmas decor was a nice touch for the holiday! I love the location of being out in the country a bit, it makes it quiet and relaxing, but not so far from town! We would absolutely stay here again in the future!

Wonderful property and very comfortable! The host is extremely hospitable and communicative. There were not hotels in the area I needed to be for work so I was so grateful to find such a great spot for a great price for the work week! Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely quiet location. Lots of room for family gatherings. Great host who responded quickly. Farmhouse was clean, lots of room inside and out. Young adults in family built a fire outside, and they loved that!

My mom and I were looking for a quiet getaway to escape to for our mother/daughter weekend. This was perfect! The rental was so cute and welcoming with everything you could need or want. Some rentals I’ve been too are just bare bones, but you can tell this host actually enjoys hosting! Fully stocked kitchen, fresh homemade cookies waiting for us, and everything was so clean! It made it easy to slide into relaxation mode. Exactly what we needed.
