Borgo la Chiusa was part of an ancient convent just outside the walls of Siena, offering guests wonderful views, peaceful environment and one independent villa and two deliciously restored to detached houses with Siena terracotta floors, stone walls, beamed ceilings and very beautiful finishing touches.
The outside of each house offers a well kept garden, a lovely patio with table, chairs and BBQ for outside eating and relaxing.
Borgo la Chiusa is the ideal bases for taking both short and long breaks. Their key position, only 5 minutes drive from Siena, allow guests to enjoy all the fascinating city has to offer without giving up on peace and privacy only a country home can guarantee.
A break at Borgo la Chiusa is ideal for taking a language course, enjoying the Palio of Siena, taking wine tasting tours, making cooking lessons all of which we can organize for you.
Borgo la Chiusa 3 independent units: Porcilaia, Legnaia and Fienile.
Porcilaia, whose name means pigsty, was converted from the original pigsty of Borgo la Chiusa, part of an ancient convent.
The house sits on the left side of the property and is accessed from a welcoming terraced patio at the front of the house.
Porcilaia is endowed with an open living area, cleverly organised to fit a comfortable sofa and armchairs, a modern kitchen and dining area.
The double bedroom and the twin bedroom sit on the back portion of the house, overlooking the beautiful paved backyard ideal for breakfast in the morning!
Two full bathrooms with shower, one next to the living room and the other next to the double, in the sleeping area.
Legnaia, whose name means woodshed, was converted from the original woodshed of Borgo la Chiusa, part of the ancient convent.

Accessed through a private gate, the villa boasts a grand entrance with a 3 meter arch and an elegant staircase.
A wonderful open space kitchen, living, reading, dining are of about 70 sq meters leading straight in to the garden fill the whole ground floor, including a full bathroom, a twin bedroom with two single beds. A marvelous stone fireplace sits at the center of the living room.

Our stay at Borgo la Chiusa was fantastic. Our family of 12 all agreed that the home was more than the pictures and the descriptions could show online. We will come back and stay here again and would also refer this home to all of our family and friends. The location was perfect. We did day trips to many of the cities and towns. We had Francesca prepare us a meal in the home which was delicious. The experience that our children and grand children had watching the meal being prepared was an event in itself. Thank you Francesca for the lovely experience. Also dealing with Simone was easy and we thank you for setting everything up for our stay.If you want a great holiday experience book this property!
