Let me just start by saying that the property is beautiful. The trees and the creek and the back patio were amazing. Being able to go down to the creek with my daughter and get in the water was a huge plus. The house is very spacious and my daughter loved the murphy bed. The location was amazing and super convenient to town. We loved that.

I will say the house was not clean when we got there. There were dead bugs, spider webs, and just a slightly stale feel all over. This was especially frustrating since I was told that an early check out was not allowed due to cleaners being on property. Then the refrigerator was not working. The staff did not seem to really believe that I knew what I was talking about and finally sent someone out to "fix" it. However, the woman who came just did a temperature reading. She also told us the house had either not ever been rented or not in a long time so that is why it was dirty. Touch ups might be a good idea or at least a walk thru if that's the case. I explained that a working fridge is important because I have medication that has to be kept cold. A fully functional kitchen was also one of the main reason we rented the house. The freezer did work to an extent but after the second day our milk and eggs and drinks were starting to freeze Then we went to start the dishwasher. Fully loaded with dishes (because who wants to handwash dishes on vacation- especially with only one kitchen towel available).. And nothing. Either there was no power or it was also broken. I was asked to find the breaker box and try that. We looked everywhere but believe it was in a locked closet. No one ever came to look or repair that or the fridge and no apologies were made. Lastly, the bed in the main bedroom. We kept waking up to bugs in it with us! I understand that the house is older and on the river. And while yes whatever pest control they do have did kill a lot of the bugs (because we kept finding dead ones). Bugs in bed when you wake up..... dead or alive. That's a lot. Thankfully not bed bugs just little Creepy crawlies. BE aware that we did find 2 live scorpions in the house. While I knew this was a possibility it was a shock for the other 2 that were with me.
