Udai Niwas - Bikaner

I loved the family atmosphere and the attention of the owners. The place seemed conveniently located on a main street, yet was fairly quiet.

If you are looking for an authentic vibe mixed with a serene, beautiful ambience, Udai Nivas in Bikaner is an absolute must-visit. The property effortlessly captures the cultural charm of Rajasthan while offering a warm, inviting atmosphere. ​Café Indra: Truly the cherry on top! The vibe here is fantastic, and their wood-fired pizza is a must-try—crispy, perfectly baked, and packed with flavor. ​The Neem Courtyard: Their dedicated North Indian restaurant is equally impressive. I highly recommend having at least one meal here; every dish is delicious, but the Besan Gatta Masala is an absolute standout. ​Exceptional Hosting: A special thanks to Rishabh for being such a wonderful host. Taking the time to chat with him was a highlight of the stay—his depth of knowledge about Bikaner, as well as various offbeat spots across Rajasthan, added so much value to our trip. ​Whether you're stopping by for the food or staying for the heritage experience, Udai Nivas delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

Cleanliness, choice of bedsheets, ambience.

No doormats in front of the bathroom, no mirror in the room.

Very clean room with a good hot shower and WIFI. Room was spacious with excellent amenities and the hotel section was located off the main road behind the restaurant so it was very peaceful at night, little to no traffic noise. Location is excellent, close to fort, shops, restaurants and ATM. We felt very safe walking around. The hotel has a great onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and anything in-between. The food served and variety available can only be described as excellent. The restaurant has an air conditioned section as well as an outdoor area and the background music was enjoyed and added to the atmosphere. Staff and management were fantastic, we received a very warm welcome and they went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. The team also had a great wealth of local knowledge which they were always willing to share. Onward travel was also arranged through the hotel and went very smoothly.

The bed mattress in our room was very hard. We softened the mattress by spreading the thick quilts we found in the room over the mattress so this wasn't a major issue.
