Cozy 3 Bedroom Terrace Cottage in Epsom

The property is in perfect shape, modern, and clear. The appliances are new and of excellent quality. The area is very silent and safe. There were only 2 of us, but if someone is traveling with kids, the property can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. The WiFi was excellent. Owners put a lot of effort into providing information support, such as the special website created for our stay, which contains all the information available there. All in all, pretty good place to stay.

There are two main things I didn't like. The first is related to host hospitality, which, I would say, is pretty basic. I had a feeling they were more concerned about property safety and controlling expenses than about demonstrating hospitality. Here are some of the examples. To get into the property, I had to present my passport not once but twice: first, upload it to their portal, and second, show it during the key acceptance. The key takeaway itself: we had to wait on the street for like 15 minutes for the owner to show up, even though we provided the exact time of arrival. It was pretty cold - fortunately, we were in the car, but if we were waiting outside, it wouldn't be nice. When I first encountered problems with hot water (see below), it took hosts more than an hour to respond to my message. The second concerns some restrictions on property use that are not apparent at first. Hot water is unavailable for 1 hour in the middle of the day. I figured it out while I was showering. The bath was leaking water and was not filling up. A thermostat on the ground floor controls the heating system for the whole house. It detects whether there is any activity and switches the heating off after a period of inactivity. So, during the night, when you sleep upstairs, the heating eventually turns off, and you wake up in a pretty cold house. All of this is not a big deal, but it left the feeling that the hosts are trying to save a few extra dollars at the guests' expense. With the premium price for the stay, it doesn't feel right. Last but not least, while the property description suggests it's very spacious, in fact, it's not. The property has three floors. The first floor has a living room and a dining room. The second floor has two tiny bedrooms with two single beds in each and a bathroom. The third floor has the main bedroom with a queen bed and a shower room.

Very clean cottage. Great location. Good communication from the host.

It would have been great to have 6 items of cutlery and glasses. One of the sofa was a little uncomfortable too.

Communication was fantastic from the time of booking. Adrianna met us on arrival and was super friendly. The cottage was gorgeous - so beautifully decorated and furnished, it was clean and comfortable and was more than well equipped for our stay. We had a fab time!
