The place was spotless! It offered comfort and quietness yet was an easy ride to Captain Whidbey Inn, where we were attending a wedding. It was the perfect size for the 4 adults staying there. If we are in the area in the future, we would love to stay at the Perch-Island Hideaway again!

The house was very well kept on the inside. it was a decent layout, but super clean, nice toiletries, good kitchen. The trees around are beautiful, and the hosts had some great ideas and fun things you could do around the property/on the island. The hosts were very responsible and kept the place really clean.
Nothing the host could change, but calling it a hideaway to me implies quiet. There was quite a lot of highway noise - this house is about 200 heavily wooded feet back from the main Whidbey island highway. it's just a bit loud. the area behind the house was a bit better, but that was not my favorite - especially for the cost. Its neighbor is the dump - but I could not smell it at all. But it's the next driveway (heading north) after the dump. If this was booked trying to be a retreat, I would have been disappointed. we were on the island to visit family, so we didnt' spend a lot of time in the house.
