About this apartment rental

The flat is in a quiet corner of Trastevere, in the heart of the antique historical center.
On the first of a three floor apartment building, It has been completely refurbished in 2016.
It is bright with its 5 windows, spacious, 409 sq. ft. and particularly quiet as it overlooks an inside courtyard.
It is fully equipped for one or two people, either in 2 single or in 160x200cm sized bed, with an extra third bed.
The apartment is equipped with heating, A/C and free Wi-Fi.
Accessed by the little entrance hall there is the bedroom, over 215 sq. ft., which has two windows with a queen sized double bed, or two single beds, a table/desk, an arm chair, a wardrobe and drawers. In the same room there’s a closet with iron and vacuum cleaner.
From the bedroom, through a door you enter another space, measuring 129 sq. ft., with two more windows, in which there’s a kitchen, complete with an induction hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and pots and pans for four people. There’s a living area with a dining table for four, a chaise-longue which turns into a single bed, a library and television. Next, there is the bathroom, measuring about 53 sq. ft., with its own window, complete with big shower cabin, hair dryer, soap and shampoo.
If you wish, access is permitted onto the terrace, on top of the building, from where there is a lovely view of the Gianicolo, one of the many hills of Rome.
The taxi fares from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports are fixed: € 48 and
€ 30 repectively.
The guests arriving at Fiumicino can catch the train from the airport to the Trastevere station, there’s one every 15 minutes, it costs € 8 and takes 25 minutes: from here they can take a taxi costing around € 10/15 for a 10/15 minute ride, or 50 metres from the station they can catch the no. 8 tram which will take them to piazza Sonnino (Stop "Belli") from where they can walk along via della Lungaretta, piazza S. Maria in Trastevere and via della Lungara for an overall distance of about 1 km.
Those arriving at Ciampino airport can take a bus that’ll take them to Termini station, it costs €4/7 and takes about 45 minutes. From there the busses 40 express or 64, both costing € 1.50, will take them to the ‘Chiesa Nuova’, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, from which they can make their way to the Mazzini bridge, then down the steps to via della Lungara and via degli Orti d’Alibert, 400 yards from the bus stop.
Those travelling with their own car must be aware that access to Trastevere is closed from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday – Saturday, and 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and in this area parking costs € 1.20/hr. or € 4/8hrs. Across the river, over the Mazzini bridge, a new underground parking is available.
As far as possible, I will personally take care of my guests when they arrive. English is no problem and my husband is fluent in French and Portuguese.
Even though your arrival has been communicated by e-mail, in order to avoid any misguidance, I would appreciate a confirmation by ‘phone/text/(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), at my no. +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) you get through customs.
On arrival, my guests will receive a set of three keys. The small one opens the door to the building, the second one opens the door on the first floor and the third one the flat’s security door. These keys must be left on the table when leaving. There will be a quick visit of the apartment, just to show how everything works: should there be any problem… I live next door.
Upon request before arrival, I can assist my guests in keeping their luggage before check in and after check out times. To welcome them there will be a little breakfast: Italian coffee machine, soluble coffee, tea, sugar, marmalade and biscuit rusks. There will also be a small quantity of oil, vinegar, salt and pepper and some washing powder.
However downstairs there’s a small shop with everything you might need, open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. then 4.30 p.m. to 7.30.p.m. Monday – Friday and 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday. Across the Mazzini bridge, there’s a little supermarket open 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. all year round and it’s cheaper.

Alberto welcomed us and provided us with advice and information as needed. He also suggested itineraries. Trastevere was a delightful area…walking distance to all of the features of central Rome. The apartment was comfortable and perfect for our stay.
