Welcome to EcoCasa Vieques, a new architecturally, designed 2-Br guest apartment for sustainable vacationers. Photovoltaic electric panels which provide 80% of electricity, a solar hot water shower, breezeways on either side of the house to provide natural convection cooling, and a clothes lines for open air drying, create an environmentally friendly location where you'll enjoy ocean breezes, private garden and a large adjacent terrace with grill / seating area. You will share with the upper unit a rear-terrace court and a saltwater plunge pool with custom landscape and Brazilian teak lounge chairs that is the ultimate relaxation amenity. EcoCasa is a short walk to both town / ferry and restaurants and is not far from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Come enjoy this unspoiled tropical paradise.
Your space
Commodious, inter-connected open kitchen/dining/living spaces allow for comfortable flow of guests as well as Carribean breezes. These spaces have a direct connection to the large outdoor grill/dining terrace. Each bedroom has its own bath and are in the rear, away from street .
Guest access
Renters have access to the entire house first floor: including ( first come first serve parking) front porch, carport, parking, breezeway (w/beach-chair storage and laundry facilities), rear solar shower, first floor gardens with a saltwater pool, and large ground floor grill/dining terrace.
Interaction with Guests
Mark is an on-site available House Manager and located in the rear Casita late November through Early May - Julie is our Vieques PR yearly local manager (contact information is in the EcoCasa book) with provision for any required repairs and maintenance.
Other things to note
First Floor is elevated above grade by 3 steps at both the front porch entrance and the side terrace access. No handrail is provided ( Building-Code approved) at these locations and anyone feeling challenged by this condition should not rent this property.
