Warm & cosy cottage in the middle of town

great location, nice & warm & very clean, a nice TV to watch and comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen with everytning we needed.

I have advised a non slip mat in the shower would be a safer option as water soap and marble did leave me feeling I could easily slip over. The host said this would be purchased and left for future guests. Otherwise excellent

Very pleasant stay

House was very clean and beds were very comfortable and it is in an excellent location if you want to visit the town centre.

There wasn’t anything we really didn’t like, but…there were only a couple of things we felt could be improved , but they didn’t stop us enjoy our stay. They were, firstly, there didn’t appear to be a microwave, unless we just hadn’t found it but it didn’t stop us when cooking. Secondly, some of the pans looked a bit well used and maybe could do with replacing. Thirdly, with the floor being completely tiled in the bathroom this made the shower a bit slippery when using, so although there was a fabric bath mat, maybe a mat to use in the shower might help Lastly, although I don’t think anything could be done about this, so its more of a cautionary warning really , the stairs up to the double bedroom in the loft area are very very shallow in depth, so a lot of care is needed when using them, especially if you were coming down in middle of night to use the toilet as you may not be fully awake and could easily miss your footing, but they wouldn’t stop us booking the property again.

Fantastic cottage in central Holmfirth

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, it had everything we needed and more. Communication with the host was excellent throughout, and the place was spotless on arrival. The cottage facilities were great and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location couldn’t be better, very central and convenient for exploring the area, with the bonus of cheep parking directly opposite. One small suggestion would be to highlight the lovely enclosed outdoor space with its outdoor furniture a bit more in the listing, as it’s a real bonus and would be perfect to enjoy on a warmer day. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cottage and would book again in a heartbeat!

Could not fault this accommpdation. We cane with 4 friends grandchildren. We asked for a cot a cot wss supplued. They even ysd s toy bssket of very hood quality tots fir the little visitors. A very welcome snd nice touch. The beds were super comfy and my bed in the attic was too. The kids enjoyed exploring. A terrace house with nany rooms that kept their excitement.

Lovely place to stay

Very clean and exceptional bathroom/ shower.

Attic room was very hot. It was 30°c outside during the day, which didn't help but just couldn't cool the room down at night. Traffic noise was a bit of an issue with all windows open, but not an issue if windows were shut.

Lovely house

It was perfect for our trip to see a band in Holmfirth. It was a short walk to the venue and very close to cafés and restaurants. The recommendations for where to eat in the infomation folder were useful. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped

Perfect house to stay in for any trip

Perfect location, just a short walk to the center. Parking was fab, opposite house, £6.50 for 24 hours, which I think was fair. House was stunning inside and out. Perfect for a great weekend away. would definitely stay there again. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Plenty of light coming into house, and very little noise coming in from main road.

Top room held double bed, would of preferred it being on second floor instead of 3rd, due to steel steps, but we made it work. I did bang into shower glass wall - should of done with maybe a frosted mid panel etc - or just me being clumsily

Lack kitchen roll which I would expect to be provided Only two tea towels which was not enough No blinds in kitchen so felt exposed at night as neighbours have access across back of property Bathmat unsafe as slippery on tiles ( no backing on mat) Other rentals in area we consider often provided a welcome pack - we had nothing on arrival which was disappointing.

Lovely overnight stay with family

Communication with the host was good. The cottage was very modern spacious clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. It was only a 2 minute walk into the town centre, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
