Multi Level Surry Hills Home with Terrace

Location was amazing. Great vibe around Surry Hills, but walkable to all the sights of Sydney.

Rear door to balcony was very difficult to open.

Location was excellent. Able to walk most places. Close to restaurants and cafes. Short Uber ride to airport.

A couple of the showers leaked water. There were a number of staples missing like kitchen dishcloth and dishwashing liquid.

Perfectly suited to a group of 6 women. Handy to public transport. Very comfortable. Fabulous outdoor balcony.

The kettle! It was difficult to operate and threw boiling water over us on several occasions when we went to pour!

We rented the Surry Hills home for 7 days in the beginning of September. It was a beautiful place to stay with my full family (6 people) and the location couldn’t be better, you’re a short walk from Hyde Park, the Allianz Stadium, and Central Station. The home itself is spacious and newly renovated which made it feeling extremely cleaned and well maintained for our stay. It was awesome having a back porch and some balcony’s to enjoy the Surry Hills environment. I would highly recommend staying in this Surry Hills home, it was a comfortable and centrally located home and we loved our time in Sydney!

There are three main things I’d encourage the owners to adjust to make this home a 10/10 stay While there is 4 bathrooms in the home, there are only two bathrooms with reasonably working showers meaning strong enough water pressure to actually wash your body. The top floor and bottom floor bathrooms are extremely tight and feel like they were added just to increase the value of the home, but are less than 1 meter large so are very impractical. My family was staying in the home for a full week but when we arrived it was obvious that the Airbnb has a bare minimum amount of supplies, so we needed to go pay for it all ourselves. They had one small bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each bathroom which we went through in one or two days. They also only had 4 washes of laundry detergent which is unreasonable for a family my size we used them up quickly. Lastly they had no paper towels so the bare minimum supplies were unfit for our length of stay and for the size of the home. Some small changes here would go a long way to giving renters a more comfortable experience in the future Lastly, it’s very obvious that this home is owned by a management company and not a home owner. Communication with the company was very dry and they were not flexible on any type of early check in or late check out. We all arrived from our flights at 7am on Sunday morning (as all international flights do in Sydney) and they were not accommodating to allow us to even drop off our luggage early. You could tell it wasn’t a warm owner<>renter experience but an automated team with inflexible policies. Having more human touch and customer experience could go a long way.
