Near beach. Plenty of lovely places to visit. Lots of hot water. Comfy beds.

On arrival the key was not in security box, called the owner who bought it round . Glad we had mobile phones to be able to have done this. Most disappointed to find that after hours of searching for a property that had a bath in we walked in to find it had a shower . Called the owner and left a message to say their advert still shows as having bathroom with a bath in the photo. She texted back to say they had altered this in January and had let the company know . But why had she not chased them up ? (surely her responsibility ) to let them know that 8 months later the photo is STILL shows the property with a bath. I only hope the guest in after us had not spent ages looking for a property with a bath too , as they will be as disappointed as we were . There was no welcome book to suggest how things work , ie heating controls, tv , where Wi-Fi code could be found , bin day , bus timetable, nearest Dr or Vet should we need one. Most holiday let’s have these on show . Perhaps a little welcome pack would have been nice , simple stuff like milk for a cuppa & pkt of biscuits. It wouldn’t cost much but little things make such a difference . One of the bedside lamps would not work so we hunted,for a spare bulb , why wasn’t we suprised to not have foundine. I bought one next day. Some of the ceiling lights in the kitchen were not working and need replacing. The dials on the oven are so worn out that we had to get a torch light on them to try & work out what which one was the temperature , which was the oven/ grill etc on / off dial. I also mentioned this to the owner & she texted that there isn’t much she could do about that. My suggestion would be to buy a new one that guest can safely use , surely not that expensive ! No washing up bowl . Nothing to wipe the floor over with which I happily would have done . Only a tiny ironing board, like a kids small surf board , it really needs supplying with a full sized one and a Hoover that is more lightweight.
