Forest Hideaway

The location was amazing. It was a spacious condo with a three full baths, one great jacuzzi tub, a nice big washer and dryer, and full kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet and the stars were gorgeous at night. The wifi seemed stable. The neighbors mostly left us in peace, and turned out to be helpful when we needed to know where to find the waterline.

We had a weird issue with the water shutting off one day due to a bluetooth device on the waterline. We were lucky that the neighbors happened to be around and knew how to reset it. (The water line is under the stairs, but the access door to get there is in the closet of the downstairs bedroom making it somewhat hard to find). Fighting with the water issue so we could get showers made us miss an event we were planning to go to, so that was a stressful and disappointing cut into our vacation. The blankets were old and there were only a few of them, so a larger group would likely have run out of blankets. We did run out of kitchen towels the first morning because one was needed to clean up the floor where the dishwasher made a small mess and the only other kitchen towel was used as a place to put washed pans after we cooked breakfast. There was a dish rack under the sink, but it was so gross we refused to use it. The frying pans looked like they had been washed very poorly so we washed them before using them. The kitchen had most the basics, but nothing extra, and nothing that has looked new for a very long time. The kitchen had salt and pepper, but they were in separate cabinets so the first day I thought we only had salt and my partner thought we only had pepper. The empty k-cup machine is all you get here for coffee, so bring your own everything. The king size bed was VERY firm. I was sore every morning after sleeping on it. The pillows were also super stiff in this room, but since we didn't have a big group I was able to borrow some more standard pillows from a different room. The jacuzzi tub was a highlight of the place, but the whole bathroom was super slippery so be extra careful. Filling the tub just barely enough to cover the jacuzzi water jets drained the hot water tanks, so be sure that anyone else who needs a shower knows to wait a half hour for the hot water to warm up again. The tub and the location were the best parts of staying here.

Loved everything

I thought the property was clean and located within close proximity to where we needed to be. I loved the fact that the unit has 3 full bathrooms. Also, It was very quite.

There was no A/C. The unit was warm reaching 78 degree inside. With high humidity that was uncomfortable. When I asked the property management company about it, they asked it if was plugged in, and then never responded back with additional instructions. I am still not sure what needed to be plugged in. Also, only about half the windows worked to be opened. It seemed like the opening devices were stripped out. Which again added to the discomfort of the heat.
