Modern Villa with Private Pool (Heated on Req) on Vistabella Golf, near Alicante

Just stayed at this gorgeous Villa had everything you needed 2 minutes walk to bars a restaurants ideal had one of the best burgers at mums tikka bar lovely breakfast at the orange bar only one down side the bbq was very rusty so could not use it so would highly recommend to be getting a new bbq cos we do like having bbqs for tea so that would be great if that could be sorted as we have booked again next year so thanks for the lovely stay

We'd stayed here a year ago so knew what to expect; the villa is very comfy and didn't feel at all crowded with 5 of us this year. We had a lovely week's stay. Annick the keyholder was fantastic; very flexible with check-in and check-out, and super responsive. The kettle stopped working on our 2nd day and she very kindly dropped off a new one the very next day. The pool was lovely; it was unseasonably cool while we were there so needed the pool heating, which once I'd worked out how to switch on it got the pool to a pleasant temperature for the next day. There were a few loose/missing tiles, but not a problem for us. The pool water was well maintained, with a pool guy coming during our stay to add whatever needs adding. The water was clean, clear but didn't smell of chemicals, so all good as far as we were concerned. The main TV worked well; we used our own Netflix account and Chromecast with no problems at all. The WiFi is still slow (only about 5mbps - despite cheap fibre 300+mbps broadband being available at this location) but worked fine as long as we were only streaming video to one device. We didn't even try the cable boxes this year. We knew from last year not to expect many "essentials" like soap, dishwasher tablets etc, so had taken our own. There was one toilet roll in each toilet this time so enough to see us through to the shop opening on Monday. Beds were comfy, although could probably do with a few more pillows (there was only one pillow per person).

Had a 3 week stay here. A cleaner wasn't provided for the whole duration. There was no cleaning products at all. We had to go out and buy a mop & bucket, fairy liquid, cloths, bin bags we had to buy it all. The villa is lovely but there is a set of rules that says if the BBQ is dirty you're charged . We went to use it and it was dirty so we had to clean that too. The oven only has one shelf in it so if you cook you can only do enough to fit on that shelf. Looking through previous reviews we knew we needed to pack toilet roll and luckily we did as there was only enough for a week. Considering we paid over 5 thousand pounds for this stay it's not ideal. The water then got cut off through "non payment" so for 36 hours we had no toilet or showering facilities. The lady looking after this property for the owners said we would be entitled to a partial refund. We contacted the owners who agreed to a €400 refund.. after numerous emails and excuses we still have not had this and it has now been 3 months. She tried to make the water situation seem less bad by saying the cleaner needed an extra 3 hours clean due to dog hair. This is a dog friendly villa, they supplied no cleaner for 3 weeks and I paid for every cleaning item needed for me to keep this property clean. I washed all their towels and followed all instructions and felt like she was trying to justify the fact she never paid her water bill. The area and local businesses are lovely
