About this apartment rental
The island of Tinharè is located around 80 km south of Salvador, has an area of around 450 square kilometers and is part of the region called Costa do Dendê.
The island is often commonly identified with the name of its most important tourist center: Morro de São Paulo (founded in 1535: it is among the oldest in all of Brazil).
Morro de São Paulo is a magical village with beaches and paradisiacal landscapes. The transfer to Morro has Salvador da Bahia as its starting point, and can be done by air or sea.
There are almost no cars on the island, and transport is often done with hand trucks.
With these unique characteristics, it is a special place where the blue of the sky mixes with the tone of the sea. It brings together some of the most beautiful landscapes in Bahia: dream beaches, natural pools, crystal clear waters and white sand, but also hills, mangroves and the Atlantic Forest.
You can watch the sunset, enjoy great parties, go for a walk or simply relax and enjoy the vibe and climate of the place. Filled with restaurants and inns, beach bars and little shops, this car-free, worry-free island has just one road and lots of fabulous beaches. It's the perfect place to get away from it all. This is Morro de São Paulo, with unique charm and security in Brazil, a small village located in the Tinharé archipelago, District of Cairu, in Bahia, which, without a doubt, will win you over.
There are lots of tours to do during your stay. You can visit the neighboring islands, take a tour around the island, go on ecological trails, learn about the History of Morro de São Paulo by visiting historical monuments from the colonial era, and much more. We recommend a private boat trip around the island, with an accredited guide and in the greatest safety and tranquility.
We also highlight the visit to the natural pools, a 4×4 tour; tour the beaches on foot, bicycle or horseback; walk from Morro de São Paulo to Praia da Gamboa; humpback whale watching; Go down the zip line, watch the sunset at the lighthouse, the fortress or Toca do Morcego.
