Location, location, location! The house is set in the heart of Nimman on a private road. Literally a 10 second walk from the busy Main Street. The property was perfect for a family holiday, ours was special as it was Christmas! The house was decorated with a Christmas tree which was a lovely surprise. The house had 3 good sized bedrooms, a large living and dining space and a family bathroom upstairs and a spare downstairs too. The kitchen was really well equipped which we have found difficult to find in Thailand, with hobs, a large refrigerator and all the pans and utensils you would need. The kitchen is separate from the house, across the small back yard where there is a washing machine and space to dry clothes. We actually only ever ate out ‘Thai Style’ and the food court over the road at One Nimman was perfect for addressing all our various needs - highly recommended is Vegan Mama! The house also boasts a private parking space and a nice outdoor eating area. My little girl LOVED the decoration of the house and all of the various cuddlies. We loved exploring the area after dark and got such a different feel for the city as we’ve only ever stayed in the Old Town before.

Next door was having some serious renovations, which was obviously very noisy and at times quite stressful. Personally I would have liked a ‘heads up’ about the work when we first booked the place. On a few occasions the noise of drilling started very early, just after 7am and one night went on well past 7pm. Being British we didn’t say anything until it all got too much and we messaged the owner. They were superb! They went straight over and talked to the builders who agreed it was antisocial to be making so much noise in a residential area at that time and they packed up and left. They also promised to start work after 9am, a promise they kept. I was so impressed with the owners for taking it seriously and sorting everything out - thank you. There is some airplane noise, which is to be expected so close to the airport. The airport was especially busy in the run up to holiday season. I actually tuned it out, however I’d advise some earplugs if you are noise sensitive. The airport doesn’t run 24hours so there was no noise after midnight. I would not let this stop you from renting this house!
