The Hall Estate - Historic Grade I-listed Jacobean Mansion

When researching hotel we were hesitant to reserve a self catering hotel. It worked out fine. The front door and room access codes were provided prior to arrival. The Moulton room was very large with a 20 foot or so ceiling and a four poster bed. There was a small kitchen type area supplied with dining utensils, a kettle, and food items. In the small refrigerator was juice, wine, water, yogurt, and milk. The bathroom was in a separate room off the bedroom. The town center was a 7-10 minutes walk from the estate. The not other people we saw were another couple.

It's a unique experience, lovely huge room, excellent bathroom, nice to have all the grounds to wander in, short walk to the centre of Bradford-on-Avon, easy to access onsite parking

The entry codes are sent out a couple of days before your booking date. I had noted several comments about access issues but thought "I've got the codes, surely it's simple, at worst the lock might be a bit fiddly" however on arrival, a bit tired after a 4 hour drive, I couldn't work out how to enter the code. When I called them they answered promptly & explained how it worked in seconds - but it was 10 minutes of stress I could have done without and the explanation of how to enter the code could easily have been delivered with the codes a few days before.

The Hall is simply stunning, a beautiful secluded and yet convenient location in Bradford. We'd just visited Longleat House - not safari park - but could be forgiven for thinking we were then invited to stay the night. The creation of the magnificent bedrooms (we unwittingly sampled the wrong one first - and came back from dinner to find someone in 'our' room!) has been beautifully done...it really was superlative

Stunning historical building to stay in. Beautiful grounds, lovely room, very comfy bed - the perfect stay :-)
