Villa Cecilia, Facing Lucca's City Walls

Great location and the hosts were very attentive. Great size meaning we all had separate beds as a group of friends travelling. Would be a great property for a couple of families or an extended family travelling together. We travelled by train and it was about a 20 min walk from the station through Lucca. Super market location was a bonus as very easy to get to.

A fantastic huge spot and very well equipped for 6 single rooms or double rooms . A good location. We all liked the place and fantastic to have a supermarket close by. We would book again , if there is a better way to handle trash (we of course separated)

Very difficult situation for trash organization. There was trash from previous group, and dealing with separated trash to bring it on the street on different days is completely difficult ( if not a local familiarized with usage) Promoted 7 rooms, but one open room without door to staircase . Promoted grand piano was not in the living room ( we have been a music researcher group) of 7 professors

The location was great. The house comfortably provided plenty of room for our family of six adults and babies. We had a chef provided by a local cooking school come in and prepare three dinners for us. She was terrific, but said she was going to talk to the owner about some suggestions to upgrade the kitchen. The house very much suited our needs. We had one handicapped person. So the bedroom on the ground floor was great for him and his family. The host were very nice and accommodating, but we had some difficulty communicating, probably because I’m not all that experience with WhatsApp. There was ample parking for a three cars, and the house is an easy walk into the world city. The upstairs Terrace was great. We would gather there at the end of the day to enjoy a drink with the beautiful view.

See above. Could use improved towels and more dish towels.

Bad welcome: no keys available when we arrived (on time!), no water, no heat, had to wait over 2 hours to get keys and to be able to use loos and wash after trip. Lovely place once we were able to relax!
