Charming Victorian Hidden Gem - Pass the Keys

Large airy rooms, very beautifully and comfortably furnished, located on a lane by the church. We felt at home and relaxed as soon as we walked in. The front bedroom is huge and the bathroom has a gorgeous bath as well as a walk in shower. Everything you could possibly need has been thoughtfully provided. Lovely walled courtyard area at the back was lovely for sitting out in the sun. The managing agency provided excellent support 24/7, answering all our questions promptly in a friendly and helpful way. They even checked that we’d arrived safely. The handwritten notes from the owner’s sister added a really personal touch with a clear explanation of how things in the house worked and offering suggestions for places to visit. Top of our list was Joules Brewery and the Red Lion, a beautiful old pub, very thoughtfully restored, with excellent ales and wonderful food just five minutes walk away . Also Fields Kitchen on the corner, excellent quality and very lovely ladies who were happy to chat about the history of Gingerbread, made originally in their cellar.

Directly opposite the British Legion we initially had some concerns about possible late night noise but those concerns proved completely unfounded. There is some traffic using the narrow lane - for the Church, the Legion and the children’s nursery - but it’s not at all noisy. There are some creaks and tapping pipes through the night, just unfamiliar noises in a strange place, soon get used to them.

Whether we couldn't work out the heating. It was very warm and difficult to adjust the heat in back bedroom especially.

Really lovely place within the centre of Market Drayton. We had a really comfortable stay and the beds were so comfortable and it was really clean. Within walking distance of pubs and restaurants and parking outside. The house is really spacious and they provided a cot and high chair which was so helpful. Check in was straightforward and great communication.
