It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and fitted out to an exceptional standard
There was literally nothing to not like.

The Lodge was beautiful, spacious, clean, and comfortable and felt like home. The owners were very lovely and welcoming. Had a bath also in the lodge and all essentials , they were very kind to also add the touches of tea, coffee, and sugar, the most perfect stay can't wait to come and stay again.

Beds were a little tight but still comfortable for a 1 night stay

We were told to transfer £200 as a safety deposit to cover any damage. On check out we did not receive our deposit back due to broken drawers/broken blinds and the caravan being a mess.
Now I will start by saying, that we noticed one of the drawers being broken upon arrival and made the host aware. At this point we didn't realise a drawer in a different bedroom was in the same condition - however we have been charged for this one. Surely if multiple drawers are in the same condition, this is wear and tear, not damage caused by us.
Apparently we "broke" the blinds - they needed re-threaded, again not caused by us but we didn't think to do an inventory on arrival so it's the hosts word against ours.
Host also claimed she had to pay an additional cleaning fee for how we left the apartment. We left a bag of cardboard (in a bag - we should have took it to a bin but forgot to) The oven had been used and not cleaned - we did use the oven to cook a pizza - i didn't realise we would need to deep clean on check out (no cleaning supplies are at the caravan) and host also claims all glasses had to be re-washed.
None of these "damages" equate to £200 and I have been speaking to the host trying to get her to quantify costs however I am now not hearing back from the host. Seems others have been stung by this too so my advice if staying here would be do a sweep of the caravan on arrival, photo and document everything, and make sure you bring all your cleaning supplies so you can clean the caravan on departure - make sure it's top quality or you won't get money back.
We were also without hot water the first morning and had to wait for host to come and fix boiler.

The caravan was comfortable and well equipped for us, a group of 3 ladies cycling the Moray Coast.
The beds were comfortable.
The living area was nice for sitting chatting with friends.
There was a nice view of the lit up Covesea lighthouse.
It would be good if towels were provided, as shown in the photos - we were only made aware of this less than 24 hours before our visit, when we were already on the road. You would expect a luxury caravan to provide towels.
Instructions for entry to the caravan were only emailed at 7pm the evening before we arrived, having had to request them, despite asking earlier in the week when we would receive these and being informed 24 hours before arrival. We had a 4pm arrival request approved. I have to say I was starting to worry that the booking was a scam. On Booking.com the property pin shows the caravan as being in the centre of Lossiemouth - this needs updating.
We had a little difficulty finding the caravan as there is no barrier in place as per the directions - "When you enter the park drive straight through the barrier then take your first left then second right you will find aurora beach lodge on your left the 6th van down ( the only one with a drive 84 Aurora drive )"
We had decided to eat at the restaurant in the evening. We were shocked on arriving at the restaurant to find we had to buy a leisure pass costing £5pp to be able to eat in the restaurant after 6pm. It would have been more honest and transparent to have been made aware of this before our visit or for a pass to have been left in the caravan for our use. We would also have had to buy more leisure passes the following day to be able to use the swimming pool, which we decided not to do. Beware of these hidden extra charges!
In the morning the caravan was 11 degrees as shown on the thermostat. We thought the heating would have been on a timer. Instructions for the heating would have been helpful, these were not provided. Yes we did have a contact number for the owner but did not want to make contact at 6.30am on a Sunday morning to ask how to switch it on.

The accommodation was in great working order and ideally placed for easy access to the beach. I particularly liked the coffee machine and sitting on the decking in the morning looking at the lighthouse. The facilities inside were to a high standard, beds were comfy, shower was good. The kids particularly enjoyed the boardgames, which was great for family time. The host Amanda was very helpful and responsive. There's access to an outdoor tap / hose for getting all the sand off once you've been on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The accommodation was really nice and a great location. Plenty outdoor space aswell
I had to pay £70 for 2 adult and 2 children to use the facilities. Only used the pool once as you have to book early morning. Also my Granddaughter went for 2 waters . She had to queue fur ages and once she got served she was told she needed an adult to be with her. When I left the kids to play machines I went outside to get some fresh air and mostly all tables were cluttered with empty glasses and food. Such a shame as paying this kind of money you would expect the staff to keep the place clean

The caravan is very clean and well kept, it has a lovely 'home' feeling when you enter. Big bonus with a large fridge freezer and an airfyer!

The caravan was well kitted out and the owners very helpful and responsive. Close to the beach.
I wouldn’t eat at the campsite cafe the breakfast was really over priced and very low quality.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely beach house in Silver Sands Holiday Park, Lossiemouth. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and easy – the house was very easy to find, and Amanda, the host, was fantastic to communicate with. She was friendly, quick to respond, and really lovely to chat to throughout the process.
The home itself was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and feel comfortable. The living room was especially cosy and inviting – a great spot to unwind after a day at the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.
There is a deposit required when booking, but it was no hassle at all – it was easy to send and promptly returned after our stay with no issues whatsoever.
If I had to mention one small thing, the bed in our room was a little softer than I’m used to. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all, just something to note for anyone who may need a firmer mattress for back support.
Nothing to report - the beach house was really lovely.

Claimed we left a burn mark on decking and also a dent in fridge the fridge when there was already a dent on the fridge!!! was Cleary from a charity shop as it still had charity sticker on it and a minimum 15 years old yet caravan was cleaned top to bottom before we left and was spotless. Yet refused to give us our £200 deposit back.
475 for 3 nights plus the 200 deposit they stole 675 be cheaper going to the malmaison highly advise anyone to book through the park 3rd of the price brand new caravan no need to pay for passes etc the van it’s self is a good van nice location but nothing spectacular.
The fact they have kept £200 deposit for a fridge that’s £59 tops and a poly bit of plastic that has a mediocre burn mark on it and I don’t even smoke non of us did replacing that would be peanuts also but this host seems to think it’s her right to keep my money!!! Obvislay needs it for her spending money while up as the prices are through the roof so be prepaid to be ripped off folks

Emergency accommodation as I was dropping my daughter off for a weekend at the barracks. My son and I needed somewhere to eat and sleep and use as a base that was more than a hotel room.
The aurora caravan was much more than anticipated, it is well decorated and well furnished with everything one could need the park itself was not all open ( as it is out of season) however my teenage son is not really in need of the children's activities etc that the park offers.
The owner was in touch and when I asked questions about the accommodation prior to arrival, her replies where prompt, polite and helpful.
Overall, we will definitely be booking again next time my daughter is called to lossie. Both my son enjoyed the luxury of the lodge over sitting in a hotel room together for a weekend.
The view of the lighthouse in all its glory was also very welcome. The caravan is also walking distance to the pool. The pool itself is paid for serperatly, however this was clean and staff friendly just like everyone else we encountered on the park during our stay.
Nothing.
