This interesting old building, originally built in 1919, still holds some of that classic charm, which really added to the experience. It was first used as housing for workers at the Ford plant just across the street—there’s a cool sense of history here. The vintage shop connected on the first floor is full of unique and quirky finds, making it a fun bonus to explore. What really stood out was how easy it was to access the apartment. Getting the door code and getting inside was one of the smoothest experiences I’ve had—and I’ve stayed at quite a few places. Inaccurate or complicated access info is usually one of the biggest hassles, but that wasn’t the case here. Everything was spot on. The accommodations were modest but adequate—nothing to complain about, though nothing particularly special or above and beyond in terms of value. The space served its purpose comfortably. One thing to note is the host’s request at checkout to take out the trash. The dumpster is located in the parking garage, which took a bit of exploring to find. It wasn’t a major issue, but could be more clearly explained in the instructions. I booked and confirmed through Booking.com, and while I understand the need for verification, it was a bit unconventional to be asked to upload a photo of my ID along with a selfie holding the ID. Not necessarily a negative, but definitely different from most stays I’ve experienced. Overall, a straightforward stay with a few things guests may want to be aware of in advance.
