Recently updated, tastefully furnished and beautifully presented 3 bedroom chalet sleeping up to 6 people just a few minutes drive from stunning Lake Bohinj where a wide range of river, lake and mountain activities await both in Summer and Winter. Located in a peaceful position in a quiet village of weekend chalets, the house overlooks a lovely terrace and garden.
The Space:
The chalet has three bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with AC and one single bedroom), additional attic sleeping area (pls see note at the end), large living room, fully equipped kitchen, entry room and two bathrooms. A fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region.
The Chalet is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk (2.5km) via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests considered by many to be the most beautiful part of Slovenia.
In Summer the Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the lake shore. The mountains around Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and arguably the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav. They also offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing. 20 minutes drive away from the house is world famous Lake Bled.
Vogel ski resort which lies above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 5-10 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. A 5 min drive from the house is the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. There is a wide range of other ski areas in Slovenia / Italy / Austria within day trip distance from the property

PLEASE NOTE: THE TWO SINGLE BEDS IN THE LOFT SPACE HAVE A VERY LOW CEILING AND ACCESS IS TRICKY UP THE STEP LADDER.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPACE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN OR PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT USED TO CLIMBING SUCH TYPES OF STAIRS.

Really well appointed and comfortable for a week with teenagers. Easy drive to the lake, or 40 minute walk through the forest. VRBO staff were so helpful in liaising with the housekeeper to get insect netting fitted at the windows after a couple of days as we were struggling with the heat at night and not being able to keep the windows open. No air-con at the property but I understand that temperature were unusually high for the time of year when we visited.

We spend two weeks with teenage kids in this wonderful house. There is a very nice, sunny terrace and lots of space for everybody. The coordination with the landlords was very smooth and helpful. They even offered to change linen and towels after a week (which we kindly declined). Of course, the area and also great. I would recommend 10/10.
