Aurora Forest Cabin

Stayed 2 nights at the Aurora Forest Cabin in Rovaniemi and had a wonderful experience! The host was incredibly kind and approachable—even helped drop us off to buy things we needed before heading to the cabin. They can also arrange drop-offs and pick-ups for other places with an additional charge, which was very convenient. The place itself was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a sauna. We even mentioned missing out on marshmallows, and they kindly provided some for our s’mores—such a thoughtful touch! And to top it all off, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the cabin. Truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

The door was very sticky

The location was good and the sauna was amazing. It was also very convenient for flying out the next day, in particular because we already had a car. The hosts were responsive, kind and easy to reach.

It was the most expensive place we stayed in the whole of Lapland and also the least well-equipped. There was no view to speak of - though I get that the aurora is hit-or-miss - but between that and the fact that the kitchen was essentially just a hot plate, a single pan and paper plates, and the fact that the other cabin was about 2 feet away (so very little privacy to speak of), it was a bit of a let-down compared to the pictures and reviews.
