On The Beach

The location couldn’t be better. The cottage is adorable perfect for a couple.

The bed could have been a little more comfortable.

Proximity - walking distance to food, parks, beaches On the beach - and maybe we were just lucky but it wasn’t busy at all, very private. The water is about waist/thigh deep for a while. It was fun finding crawdads and minnows! Cute - good amount of space for the two of us. Kitchen didn’t get used, but everything seemed to be working. Patio - the patio was what we used almost our whole stay. It was a great view of sunrise and sunset, plus trees on either side for shade and privacy. Updated bathroom - tight space but well done.

Rules - lots of “Fine $ for this….” “Fine $ for that…” — really odd. Outdated - feels thrown together/marketplace finds as far as furniture goes. The bed - awful. Could not sleep. Stained linens - we attempted to use the blankets available but my husband found they were both totally dirty Which leads me to… Dirty! - couch stains, sheet stains, dirty linens, floors are very obviously not mopped. We kept our socks/shoes on the entire time. No curtains - just blinds, you’re up when the sun is up No A/C - definitely needs a window unit, it’s just too hot at night and the windows can’t be left open as it is ground level and there’s lots of traffic. Cheap toilet paper - I’m sorry, but if I’m paying $1100+ to stay somewhere for TWO nights, I’m expecting toilet paper that doesn’t bother.
