The property was very well equipped, with a large and very comfortable sitting and dining area, and a lovely south facing balcony to enjoy the sun. The bedrooms were adequately comfortable if not luxurious, with decent shower rooms for each. Overall the accommodation was very good for what we needed. The Esserts area was beautifully quiet (no drunken shouting teens running around at 2am here…) and well served by buses - the no.2 Hameau service was each end by a short 5 min walk down the hill, for access to Savoleyres and Medran. The no.5 bus passed the front door of the property for access to Savoleyres and Carrefour. While we didn’t eat at the restaurant La Table it is very nearby and has great reviews. If snow conditions had been good enough we’d have been able to ski back, though in the circumstances we weren’t able to.

There was nothing to ‘not like’ about the property. It is a long (30 minute) walk up a pretty steep hill from the centre of town but once you work out the buses (no.2 in the day, Lunabus at night) it’s easy to avoid it if you aren’t feeling like a bit of exercise. It’s a nice 25 minutes walk downhill to Medran. The nearest supermarket is pretty poor, so worth heading to Coop or Migros just down from Place Centrale by your own car (there is parking) or by bus if you want provisions. A bit of a trek if you just need some milk or bread but you’ll probably be in town for skiing anyway so not a big deal.
