Located just 11 miles from St Maries, ID., Surrounded by huge Cedars & Pines, this space is Fully Furnished with New Appliances & Furniture, 50" TV, Bathroom, 2- Queen Beds in Bedroom + Full Sofa Bed. Come enjoy the quiet & peaceful Ahrs Gulch. Massive old growth trees as well as 300+ yr old Cedar stumps decorate the creek bed that runs the length of our 45 Ac property. Close to town with quick access to the Wilderness for Off Roading, Biking, Hiking, Snowmobiling, Hunting and Fishing or just unwinding. With a Creek Side Fire Pit & BBQ plus wonderful sitting spots to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beverage, the ability to sit and relax to marvel at the Forest and soak in the tranquility is plentiful. You may see Moose, Elk, Deer or a gaggle of Wild Turkey at any time.
The St. Joe River area of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests includes most of what was originally established as the St. Joe National Forest and is now our St. Joe Ranger District.This is an area of blue-ribbon cutthroat trout streams, Wild and Scenic Rivers, and extensive road less and primitive areas. We offer miles of trails for hikers, back country horse users, mountain bikers, and ATV riders. The St. Joe is nationally recognized for its elk herds. Many campgrounds are located adjacent to the beautiful Wild and Scenic St. Joe River. The Trail of the Hiawatha rails-to-trails mountain biking route winds across trestles and through tunnels.If you are a cyclist, that is a bucket list site for sure! Visit Marble Creek and view artifacts of early 20th century logging, the fishing there is spectacular! Spend some time at one of our back country trails or lookouts,or simply spend a day driving the St. Joe River road taking in the beauty of our rivers, mountains, vegetation, and wildlife.
