    I had originally booked a different hotel in Kyoto but at the last minute, I found the Hiyori Residence Kyoto Kamogawa. I am SO happy we stayed here. Location was great, steps away from the Kamo River Trail so morning runs and bike rides were a great way to start the day. Our room was large and clean, and it was so wonderful to have a full kitchen and our own Japanese style bathroom, which felt like our own private onsen with a warm bath after full days of adventuring. Having a washing machine, breakfast and evening rice, complimentary drinks and icepops took our experience to another level. And if you stay, remember to go to the rooftop terrace. That is probably overlooked by many since we were the only ones there every time. Finally, the staff, especially Hero and Sarah made our stay so much more personal. We were always greeted with smiles and fun conversations. More I can say but mostly, you should stay here! We plan to return! Thank you for making our Kyoto experience an amazing one!
