Amazing wildlife - we saw dozens of macaws flying over the room and past the treehouse and restaurant, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, hummingbirds and other birds. Breakfast was great - we chose traditional gallo pinto. Early check in :)
Very clean but some black beetles including one large one in the room upon arrival, there is a gap under the external door. They seem harmless though.

The couple managing the place were friendly and helpful with arrangement of activities. He is also good at spotting birds. I enjoyed talking with him about some tree planting on the property. The room was very spacious and clean. And there were plenty of hooks (otherwise uncommon in hotels we stayed at in CR). Good AC and fan. Next door to a full service restaurant (Cerro). Swimming pool. It was quiet in late June. We were the only guests the first night.

Great place with very kind hoasts and an abundance of wildlife.
As others have written: some kind of chairs in the room/patio would be nice.

We loved the location and the birdwatching tower on the premises. The owners were friendly and made us very welcome. The breakfast and dinner meals were cooked especially for us and they were delicious. Our room was light, modern, comfortable and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool at the lodge.
