Amazing stay at Maze

Maze was just what we needed for our short stay in Hull. Clean, comfortable accommodation, and free parking. The staff we met were really friendly and helpful. Also benefitted from later check out than hotels offer, which was great. We were able to get food locally, which was really handy.

It was hard to get hot water for washing up or showers and there were not enough forks in our room. TVs picture quality was also poor.

The accomodation in The Maze is exactly as I had expected - simple but good value for money

The parking is excellent and I was able to park under cover so I did not need to de-ice the windscreen in the morning. The location suited me because I was within walking distance of the house I needed to visit prior to my overnight stay. As I had expected, the accomodation was fairly plain but the King Size bed was comfortable, the shower was efficient and the room was clean and tidy. Everything was just as I had expected it to be.

Unfortunately, the lift was out of order on the day of my visit. However, I only needed to go up to the first floor and I did not have much luggage for my one night stay. everything else was fine.

Spacious but dirty

Good location. Shops right at the door step and plenty of parking spaces. Spacious apartment and secure door entry. Beds were comfy but the bed base moves easily which wasn't that comfortable.

Floors were really dirty. Not just needs a vacuum dirty but needs proper mopping dirty. After 20 min of us being in the apartment I found the bottom of my daughter's socks absolutely dirty. I noticed dried food stain spots near the kitchen area which were covered in dirt. The reception was already closed and we had already unpacked for the night so I didn't want to call the out of hours number to change the place. After some time of walking barefoot, our feet started making sticky feet noises. Mentioned it to the lady at the reception during check out who said they are cleaned before every stay which I highly doubt. Some of the pans were dirty as well. The main entry door doesn't open immediately after recognising the key card. I had to try 3 times every time I had to enter which was annoying. Place lives up to the name of the maze. Too many turns to get to the apartment the first time. Figured out the closest entry point later which made it easier.

Super comfortable and had everything we needed, except a sweeping brush

Couldn't have the 3-bedroom that we booked due to a plumbing issue. But they did change us to 2x 2-bedrooms next door to each other. Could do with a lamp in the lounge for watching tv

Excellent value all round and would highly recommend.

Clean throughout. Large shower always plenty of hot water. Air conditioning in room if needed. Great value. The shared kitchens have so many amenities, washing machines,cooker, toaster, microwave, slow cooker, plenty of plates, cutlery extra kettles(rooms have them too), plenty of fridges and more. Easy walk into the shops which inc Asda, Morrisons, B&M, Home Bargains and lots of small shops etc. Plenty of buses to the city if you didn’t want to drive but that only took 10 mins by car. Parking is covered and secure plus it’s free. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Bedsheets dirty with make up stains. Nest to no soundproofing between rooms. Beds very uncomfortable and sheets scratchy and cheap. Thin curtains

Excellent Apartments with free parking.

Very clean, comfortable beds slept very well, lovely hot shower, bonus with air conditioning as weather was very hot, great kitchen area, 2 x washing machines, 2 x microwaves,Staff excellent very friendly. lot of shops in area, free parking. Couldn't fault the place will definitely book again.

Excellent value for money. The apartment we rented surpassed our expectations at the price point, we were very pleased. There was a group of 6 of us and to have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was great. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Overall a very good place to stay.

Excellent free parking, location is good within good distance of the city centre and local attractions. Ear plugs provided in the rooms.

Fitness centre downstairs is open 24/7 and from our room we could hear faint background music all night.

Good and simple

Good accessible location with the included parking always being a plus. Lovely decor and finish throughout with a prompt welcome and hand over at reception. Always just what you need for a night or 2.

The floor, although appearing clean, was very sticky. The kettle in the room would trip the electrics. Otherwise, ita just what you need and good value.

Cheap and cheerful.

I wanted to be on Holderness Road so location ideal. Room very clean you can make coffee in room. Only 1 small window at top of wall but as we were going out not a problem. Key card gives you access to a kitchen if you want to use it but lots of takeaways and restaurants in the area.

King room for a couple

We liked everything about this place the staff are lovely and very helpful the bed is comfy also the whole building from inside and out is absolutely spotless we had a shared kitchen and even the kitchen was spotless from top to bottom. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants anywhere to stay in Hull. We will definitely be staying here again without any hesitation.

Fabulous apartments.

Stayed over with my family, the apartments were easy to find with parking underneath.. The reception was metres away , Emma was really friendly and helpful. I found our apartment was beautiful and clean, had en suites to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, lounge was comfortable, large tv, complimentary milk, sugar, tea, coffee. The beds were so comfortable, heaters on the walls if needed. No noise from anywhere as corridors were thickly carpeted. We were next to shops etc so could pop out for anything. Excellent stay, def recommend staying here.

Disappointing

It was a value property, booked for one night. The lady on reception was very helpful and understanding.

It certainly was not 5 stars. It was dirty on arrival, the floors turned our socks black. The previous occupants had been smoking in the room and we had to move. The beds and bathrooms were clean but the rest wasn’t. It felt like budget student digs, if you had a night on the lash it would probably be okay but nothing else. The living room was in the kitchen, no lamps, pleather sofa. It wasn’t relaxing.

It’s not about not liking but where it could be improved Blinds - not fitting so too much light and broken or fragile. Towels- maybe a little bigger? No hairdryer not a problem as bought own but could be for others as not stated on facilities Not game changers as will use this again most definitely
