Herkingen is a small village in the Netherlands, located on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee. From Herkingen, you can explore the island perfectly, but neighbouring Schouwen-Duiveland is also worth a visit. All major beaches are within easy reach and the immediate surroundings offer beautiful cycling and walking paths through nature reserves and dunes. Here you will take the most beautiful holiday photos!

With its great location on Lake Grevelingen, Herkingen is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. You can sail, windsurf, kite surf, swim and fish, among other things. The nearby Brouwersdam beach also offers numerous water sports activities, sailing and windsurfing schools and water sports equipment rental. There are 2 marinas, a short distance from a restaurant, pizzeria and café.

Lake Grevelingen is also a hotspot for birdwatchers, with a wealth of bird species. For culture lovers, the region offers a range of historical sights, including the Ouddorp lighthouse, the Goedereede fortress and charming Zierikzee
