Maison Soleil Oeiras

The apartment was fairly comfortable and spacious for three adults. Location was good with a car to get to all the places we wanted to. We also used Uber cabs to travel into Lisbon centre as the city parking is difficult. Air conditioning was fabulous on low especially as we had over 40c temperatures. Good sized fridge. Comfortable large bed. Free parking on street. There is a great shopping mall close by, with places to eat.

Small bed was uncomfortably soft. There was no kettle, and using a saucepan to heat water was a pain especially as it kept tripping the electric supply and everything would go off. The agent responded very quickly, also with another maintenance issue, but the electrical problem persisted, we adapted. There was a nasty smoking and cooking smell on our landing. The decor is very tired. The TV doesn’t work very well and the screen is half black and white, half colour. Lighting is either too dark or too bright. Parking outside is free but arriving back after 8pm we had to find parking one or two streets away as all the spaces were taken. The neighbourhood is all apartments, not the tourist type but more residential, so there was nothing much around to walk out to for breakfast or dinner and we usually don’t mind walking.

Keys were easy to get out of lockbox once we had located the right apartment. The key code was sent out prior to our arrival so this made the retrieval of keys smooth.

Unfortunately the lock did not open when we turned the key. It took us 20 minutes before we eventually managed to get in. It was 5pm 9n a Friday evening but no one was available to help and we did not get a reply to messages till the following morning. There is a latch on the door but nothing on the outside of the door to turn the latch so the key would only work if you turned it and pulled the door towards you at the same time.

Très bel appartement qui mériterait un rafraîchissement (cuisine). Pas de bouilloire comme mentionné dans l' annonce, Grill pain vieillot.........etc Appartement loué pour trois adultes, la deuxième chambre mériterait un lit deux places ou mentionner sur l' annonce petit lit d'une personne .
