El Eden Minca

What a beautiful place! The gardens and vistas are incredible. You can watch the birds from the common area. There are two sweet dogs and two cats who enjoy a good pet. It’s a short walk to Pozo Azul and Cascadia Escondida. Yummy breakfast too! Highly recommend this place.

We liked everything about this place, but be aware that it’s a couple km from town. We were happy to be out of town to enjoy the sounds of nature. It’s a 15 minute downhill walk to most restaurants. We always took the moto taxi back up (5000 COP).

The beds are comfortable and have mosquito nets, there are lockers. There are hammocks to chill, the sunset is beautiful and you hear and see birds in the morning and through the day. They have gratis drinking water in the kitchen available until the café/restaurant closes. The owner is very nice, helps with information of the area and cooks delicious food.

You need to walk 30min from Minca, which can be exhausting in the heat, but you can also take a motorbike taxi for 5.000 COP. But it's definetely worth it for the view and nice surrounding. No kitchen for self cooking/storing own food. It is not extremely social, like no social events or something like that, but you can easily meet people in the hammock area.

Está ubicado a 15-20 minutos desde la parada de las minivans. Justo al frente del ingreso a Cascada Escondida. Personal fue amable y atento a las solicitudes. El lugar cuenta con dos vistas para el atardecer y amanecer, aunque no se los puede ver completamente. Es un sitio excelente para birdwatching. Tranquilo y las camas en espacio compartido bastante cómodas.

Uno depende de las mototaxis, en general, pero también se puede caminar para llegar al pueblo.

This guesthouse has one of the most stunning views I’ve seen — both sunrise and sunset are absolutely magical and 100% worth it. The nature around is just incredible, with so many birds and that lush, peaceful Minca energy everywhere. The dorm is simple but very nice, and for the price, it’s amazing value. Just keep in mind it’s not luxury — there’s no hot water, and getting there requires a bit of effort (a distance from Minca plus some stairs), so you need to be okay with that. But honestly, it’s all part of the experience. The family who owns the place is so warm and kind, which makes it feel really special. And the pets… cutest dogs and cats ever — so loving and sweet, they completely stole my heart. If you’re looking for something authentic, surrounded by nature, and don’t mind a bit of simplicity, this place is truly magical!
