We had a lovely three days at the threshing barn. Lloyd met us on arrival and settled us into the accommodation. It's a very peaceful country setting. The barn itself has been fitted out beautifully and we couldn't have asked for more. The kitchen area is very well equipped and incredibly spacious. Upstairs you have a big screen TV, two sofas, and a large bed, again incredibly spacious and well fitted out. The room opens on to a small balcony overlooking a private lawned area. The outdoor swimming pool and sunbathing area is a real sun trap, whilst the walk around the meadow and woodlands is delightful. We look forward to returning.

Not a criticism because the country location dictates this but there is little phone signal and the internet can be intermittent

Nothing to dislike

Ein Paradies für Ruhesuchende. Wunderschön gelegen aber trotzdem mit vielen Möglichkeiten und guter Anbindung. Bequemes Bett, Sauberkeit und super nette Gastgeber.

Das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau, aber wir hätten uns gefreut, wenn zumindest eine Grundausstattung (Salz, Pfeffer, Öl) vorhanden gewesen wäre.

Hosts were lovely, gifts on arrival were a nice touch, lovely property that you can appreciate the time and thought that goes into the upkeep.

Overall we felt as though our stay here was just massively over priced for the reality upon arrival and throughout. We did not see any problem with the price at booking stage as it sounded justified and the promise of privacy was a theme throughout the description. Only a few small gripes like the pool being dirty and bits along those lines that could have been ignored but the biggest thing which took away from our holiday was the house being over looked from all angles with some doors/windows not having curtains or blinds therefore a massive lack of privacy. Very disappointed given the description when booking, and very misleading to the reality of a relaxing escape with the whole place to yourself. This was something very important to us when choosing our holiday this year and felt like we may as well have saved half the money to stay on a log cabin site, expecting the busy/noisy site, where you’re surrounded by family’s eyeing through your windows as you’re getting what you paid for.. as mentioned it is a lovely place but the false promises meant it was just such a shame to have spent that amount of money and we were unable to fully relax/enjoy our own space on a holiday that we worked hard to pay for. I’ve stayed in many different types of places up and down the country and I’m always careful with descriptions/reviews depending on the type of holiday or adventure I’m planning for reasons exactly like this and its honestly the first time I have come away quite deflated and regretful. The advertising is just selective and cleverly done so I would say fair play there, it unfortunately just wasn’t the reality of our week 🤷‍♀️
