Casa Mirasol

The apartment was spotlessly clean. I was there for 4 weeks and all linen and towels were changed weekly. The hosts were very respectful and always did this at a convenient time. Any small problems were dealt with promptly and communication was excellent. The kitchen had all the equipment needed for a longer stay, including washing machine and dishwasher.Tha apartment is quite spacious, probably bigger than the online photos suggest. I liked that I was greeted on arrival and able to ask any questions I had face to face. It is much more personal than just being given a code for a key box (although that is usually fine for shorter stays). The location is great, in the centre of Playa Honda, handy for shops, restaurants and the beach. There is a bus stop for local buses just a few steps away from the apartment. There is a great choice of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby, all reasonably priced. My favourites were Casa Tere and Emmax for food, and Al Mar for coffee and cocktails.. There is also a bakery across the road, handy for daily bread and/ or pastries and coffee.

There is a building site across the road which was noisy during working hours. But hopefully the work there will be completed soon, it will be quieter and there will be a prettier outlook when the new recreational area is completed. The Chinese restaurant downstairs could also be a little noisy around closing time, but this did not last long and we soon got used to it.
