Quiet, relaxed and cosy!

Staff were amazing and very helpful. Lovely and cosy! Food and wine were delicious too!

The pool was freezing!! So didn’t stay in for long which was such a shame as it was an expensive treat for me and the spa was the main attraction but I got out of pool straight away. Also towel rail Wasn’t on in bathroom but not a deal breaker!

A great luxury hotel with a comfortable and homely feel to come back to each day.

The location was great,very nice and quiet village with a great pub that also belongs to the hotel.Breakfast was excellent every day,good selection of everything you could want from cooked to continental.Nothing seemed to much trouble to any of the staff who were all very friendly and attentive and competent in their roles.

Having stayed in lots of luxury country hotels over the years,and high end city hotels,you always seem to get a bit picky over trivial things that could or should be better.On this occasion I really thought hard and can't think of anything that I didn't like about either the hotel,the room or the staff or our experience at breakfast or in the restaurant or bar.

Expensive, other places are WAY better.

Good concept, execution needs a lot of work.

- Overpriced for what you get - VERY limited food options both at the bar and the Menu at Stanley, the "fine" dinner restaurant were not good enough. The breakfast was also okay but nothing else. - The service at lunch/dinner/breakfast was slow. Waiting for breakfast +30 minutes to be served. - The staff wasn’t very friendly or trying to help and make the stay nice. - The spa can only be enjoyed once in a session of half an hour. Overall, not worth the money, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and definitely wouldn’t go back.

Everything and everyone was amazing. We will definitely return as this was one of the most nicest stays and we have gone to really nice places before but this is 5 ⭐️

Enjoyed our stay beautiful place lovely pool just the breakfast let it down

The room staff and location were brilliant but the breakfast was ok but not great. Cold option minimal and the same every day. The full English was very small bacon over cooked and tiff every day and portions not constant some mornings two bacon then one. Toast missing on two mornings had to ask twice and food not very hot!

A wonderful relaxing comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings

The hotel was in an excellent location, the hotel was beautiful and sympathetically renovated, very clean & peaceful - dog friendly and caters really well for dogs - excellent facilities and the staff were lovely and went above and beyond - superb food and service - would definitely go again ..

Beautiful room, really lovely staff, great food and decor, excellent facilities. Really couldn't fault the hotela or staff and everything exceeded our expectations. So good we stayed on an extra night.

A thoroughly enjoyable short stay

First class breakfast served by delightful staff. excellent swimming pool , jacuzzi and sauna Bedrooms and public areas were of a high standard

there was little to criticise. Electric plug points for charging electronic equipment were not readily accessible The TV operating system was somewhat confusing when trying to access certain programmes

Great place - disappointing food

Lovely property, vert friendly staff, great pool area and games room. nicely appointed bar and dining areas.

Bar staff were a bit hit and miss - some drinks orders incorrect but all rectified. Evening meal was mediocre and pricey so a bit disappointed.
