Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of.
We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard and spring filled which kept us tossing most the night with lack of comfort.
We left before breakfast, so we aren’t sure how that was, but it smelled good! We did dine at the in house restaurant. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.
Our biggest enjoyment of our stay was the location. The view is astounding and you’re within walking distance of everything downtown Manteo and it’s only a short drive to the Nags Head if you want more activities.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
