About this cottage rental
You will love our beautiful & stylish cottage, centrally located in Hungerford & 100m from the High St. It is the perfect location for a weekend getaway or for the extended stay while visiting love ones in the area. Close to the local pubs, shops and train station, our light filled & newly renovated house is comfy and cosy with a brand new kitchen, bathroom and a peaceful, picturesque and private garden.
The market town of Hungerford offers the following services and venues:
Co-Op, Tesco Supermarket, 5 pubs, 2 restaurants, 6 cafes, Weekly farmers market
Numerous vintage, collector and antique stores
Ground floor:
You will enter our house into our new fully equipped kitchen with the breakfast table and a lovely picturesque window opening onto the garden.
Also on the ground floor is the lounge room with a large double fold out bed with a extra comfy mattress and new double glazed window.
1st floor:
Upstairs you will find the spacious master bedroom room with a super king bed, built in wardrobe and a new double glazed window which gets the afternoon western sun and looks down over The Croft.
Off the landing is also a (very cosy) space with an elevated single bunk bed. (only suitable for children under 8) (Please enquire about this space before booking as it is only suitable for children)
The newly renovated bathroom, also on the 2nd floor, offers a large walk-in shower complete with rainwater shower head.
Garden:
The courtyard offers an outdoor dining setting and provides the perfect spot for coffee in the morning and an aperitive in the afternoons.
Hungerford is centrally located and only 4 miles off the M4 (Junction 14):
* 8 miles (13 km) west of Newbury
* 9 miles (14 km) east of Marlborough
* 16 miles (25km) east to Avebury
* 27 miles (43 km) north-east of Salisbury
* 27 miles (43km) west of Reading
* 28 miles (45km) to Stonehenge
* 29 miles (46km) to Highclere Castle
* 60 miles (97 km) west of London.
Parking is available on the Croft and in the area designated for Residents only 20m from the Cottage.
The Cottage is only a 5min walk from the Hungerford train station which offers a direct service from Paddington, London.

What a gorgeous place! The cottage is just behind the High Street but is still very peaceful. Equipped with everything you'll ever need and beautifully decorated throughout. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable we slept like babies. Would love to come back.

⸻We stayed one night in Hungerford, and it was the perfect stop on our journey. The cottage was quintessentially English—charming, welcoming, and full of character. The entrance was beautiful, leading into a lovely open kitchen that had everything we needed. Our daughter slept comfortably on the sofa bed, and the king-size bed was incredibly cozy—one of the best we’ve slept in. The cottage was spotless and ideally located just a short stroll from the High Street. A wonderful and memorable stay!

The property was lovely. Very cosy and comfortable. Description was not quite correct as there was no washing machine. We were ok as we had relatives nearby, however this may cause a problem for people coming for a week or two and expecting it…
Bed and sofa bed very comfy, shower facilities excellent.
