About this house rental
Newly remodeled 1 bed, 1 bath w/ private deck & awesome views of Elk River. There is tons of open space with river views from the living room, kitchen, & bedroom. Shared parking & backyard with access to the water. Community dock is just a few driveways down. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck & watch a bald eagle soaring! The Eagles Nest is 30 min drive to Athens, (40) to Florence. Rogersville (15) min & offers restaurants, grocery & beverage stores. House is on a dead-end street. There is a shared dock (right of back of house with red roof). Please do not touch the lift or equipment parked at the dock. This will result in automatic cancelation of your reservation.

Great property in a super quiet location right on a low traffic, peaceful river with the magnificent sound of cicadas and birds. Lovely upstairs deck to sit on. Flat screen movies and wifi etc was great. Great A/C! Owners generously provide ground coffee and filters for arrival and gave clear instructions and responded quickly. We loved it here and extended our stay be several days. The only consideration for some may be that the property is up a flight of stairs and does not have direct access to the river unless you walk down around the side of the property and access the lower apartment's pathway. Not ideal for people with bad knees but the listing clearly represents this home and its stairs. The main bed was great and the fold out bed was quite good though difficult to pull out and put back in and during our stay there had not been a quilt or blanket provided for the second bed so I used a camping blanket I had in the car. The carport is reserved for the lower part of the house so there is no undercover parking and you have to park a little up the driveway. Be sure to bring all food supplies as the only supplies here are the cooking utensills and the closest Wholefoods is around 20-30 mins. Overall this was a great property and I am happily recommending it and would return at any chance.

What a fantastic place. We loved it here and extended our stay for almost 2 weeks. Nothing but the sound of nature with the cicadas. Great deck area and modern upstairs cabin. Access is by stairs and you can wander down to the river if you walk around the side of the property. Aircon and wifi was perfect, Netflix etc was great. Very little boat traffic on the river so super quiet and private. Absolutely loved it here and would return in a heartbeat when I get back to Alabama. Thankyou!
