Royal Mist's Budget Guest house

We had such a lovely stay in this home! It is in the middle of a beautiful tea plantation just outside of Munnar. The balcony and patio has lovely outdoor furniture and overlooks the tea plantation. It is the perfect place to relax. The hospitality from the hosts was unbelievable, we had delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner and numerous cups of tea. They organised taxis, tours and hikes around Munar for us and were always there to help! The house has a 500m drive, so Anil kindly drove us up and down the road, and you can either get a bus or tuktuk from the end of the drive into Munar. The house is newly done up, very clean and bright. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!

We have stayed with this lovely family many years ago and were again treated as though we were part of their family. Rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious & quiet Everything is new. The position is right in the centre of a tea plantation. We were delighted to see the tea picking ladies start work one morning right below our balcony & spread out cutting the bushes all around us. What photo opportunities!! The meals are delicious, plentiful, cheap & made to order. I would always stay in this beautiful home if ever lucky enough to come back to the area

It’s not a dislike & is easy enough to get around but be aware The property is, as I say inside a plantation. There are several methods to deliver you to the destination and it’s worth the small effort Anil is always available to pick you up in his jeep a short way from the home & will converse with your driver about the pickup point. Although it is also possible for the driver to take you very close given directions. What we loved the most though was wandering on a little trail through the tea bushes & having the driver pick us up at the roadside
