Nice reception by the owner - flowers, a bottle of wine and the local cake, plus eggs from her own hens. Big property, plenty of room. Very useful having the kitchen separate. Nice terraces, back and front, to enjoy the sun.

In theory it's in Tartas (Commune), but is actually miles from Tartas town and in the middle of nowhere - far too remote for us, so check the actual address before committing. Booking says you pay for heating - this is inaccurate - you get 8 units per day free for electricity and pay anything above that, but the house is all electric, including the hot water. This was set to heat for 6 hours every day, which used 6 units, before adding usage of heaters, kettle, washing machine, hob, oven etc, so very easy to ogo over the daily allowance. There is a huge overhang of the roof, over the main lounge dining area, meaning it is always really dark, even when bright and sunny outside, and meant it kept cool/cold all the time and needed the heating on too a lot of the time. Often it was far warmer outside then in.
